Microsoft Word Tips

If you use Paste Special, Unformatted Text, you can copy text from websites or other documents and paste it into your Word document, and the new text will have the same format as the rest of your document.

Here is how to add Paste Special, Unformatted Text to your toolbar. (This involves recording a macro and then editing it and replacing what's in it with wording to accomplish this task.)

You can keep a list on a "Work" menu of documents you want to keep there to be easily opened. Note that, per the tip article, this is not publicized by Microsoft, probably because it's not as easy to get things off of the "Work" menu as to get them on (but it can be done).

Another tip from OfficeUsers.org:

"Cool Word Tip
Did you know you can automatically return to where you were in the document when you last saved it? When you re-open the document, just press Shift-F5 and you'll be taken back to the location you were last editing in the document when you saved it. Good way to remember where you were, and get back to it."
